We all can be geniuses!

By | 2022-05-09T03:15:27+00:00 September 28th, 2015|Entrepreneurship, Life|

I have a motto "impossible reads->I'm-possible". I am an idealist (mind over matter), entrepreneurial and hard working. I don't know how else to be happy. This is who I am. I have been fortunate to lead a path that gives me happiness. Just like with everyone, I am  subjected to the realism that the world presents. For me, it is an extremely difficult one because I challenge the very premise that many would say impossible. But I couldn't do this on my own. I have full and generous support from friends and family and others who believe in me that I can indeed overcome the impossible. I found this re-post of an article first printed by the National Enquirer in 1980 and later reprinted and re-distributed by L. Ron Hubbard (source). It goes to prove that we all can be geniuses! The worlds greatest geniuses have all had 24 personality characteristics in common and you can develop the same traits yourself, says an expert. "Most people have the mistaken idea that geniuses are born, not made", declared clinical psychologist Dr. Alfred Barrious, founder and director of the Self-Programmed Control Center of Los Angeles and author of the book, Towards Greater Freedom and Happiness. "But if you look at the lives of the worlds greatest geniuses like Edison, Socrates, DaVinci, Shakespeare, Einstein, you will discover they all had 24 personality characteristics in common. "These are traits that anyone can develop. It makes no difference how old you are, how much education you have, or what you have accomplished to date. Adopting these personality characteristics enables you to operate on a genius level." Here are the Characteristics Dr. Barrios lists, which enable geniuses to come up with [...]

Ultrasound Images of Kindra

By | 2022-05-09T03:15:33+00:00 August 8th, 2013|Life, Medical Visualization|

It is our first baby ultrasound in 3D... and she is a girl! About four years ago, my wife, Linh Le, pointed out that our number plate on the car given by the California State had the initial KLK. She said, "Kovey Linh", and I followed it through with "Kindra". The name Kindra stuck with me since I read Moby Dick. Surprisingly, that name isn't anywhere in the book! But there is an artist by the name Kindra Haugen that did an Art Print of Moby Dick. Anyhow, Kindra is the name of our first child. The name means "greatest champion" as spoken by the Old Norse.  She is expected to be born this October. It is the same month my mom was born, so it has even more special meaning to me. My mom cherished me with love that lasts a whole life time, even though she passed away when I was 13. I am planning on passing that same love to this new born baby . This is her first 3D ultrasound images taken at 30 weeks! In this day in age, one would expect that you could manipulate medical scans over the web. Well, first, I was told that we'll only get 2D snapshots of her 3d/4d ultrasound session. Until we met the owner of SonoHealth in San Diego. Sergio was kind enough to save the raw file format as a volume type. Which means, we can let viewers manipulate in 3D! So, now, daddy-to-be Kovey's next project is to make it available on the web using VoXcell®, the flagship product of KJAYA Medical, a company that he founded.

Are you an entrepreneur?

By | 2022-05-09T03:15:40+00:00 August 8th, 2013|Entrepreneurship|

Are you constantly finding ways to connect the dots on how do you get “there” from “here”? Rather than thinking about which came first, are you the bridge between the chicken and the egg? Is what you do contagious? If you answered yes, chances are that you are not crazy. You might just be an entrepreneur. Howard Stevenson, Harvard Business School Processor in 1975 said: “Entrepreneurship is the pursuit of opportunity without regard to resources currently controlled”. Ultimately, the opportunity, whatever that might be, is the only real resource one has to pursue a dream. He added: “Entrepreneurs offer their team a larger share of a vision for a future payoff, rather than a smaller share of the meager resources at hand.” By communicating a vision of the future, an entrepreneur brings together stakeholders to execute on a mission to accomplish a meaningful and rewarding goal for everyone involved. The stakeholders, i.e. your followers, are the customers, the investors, and your team members. Together, a successful mission that achieves a noble vision effects the humankind profoundly. I have been one of the fortunate entrepreneurs who have been able to bring it all together, from nothing, to improving patient care in the field of radiology.
